    YORK CITY BAR CRAWL

The Fuel Their Fire Scholarship Fund was established following the tragic building collapse on Broad St. on March 22, 2018 that killed York City Fire Fighters Ivan Flanscha and Zachary Anthony. This scholarship has been created as a way to honor their legacy by awarding three $2,000 scholarships to deserving recipients each year…. hopefully forever. We raise 100% of the money for our fund through private donations and our fundraising efforts. In 2020 we have decided to be creative and try something a bit different. We are hosting a York City Bar Crawl.

EVENT DATE: Saturday April 25th Rain or Shine TIMES: There will be a Pre-launch gathering at the ELKS Lodge #213 (223 N. George St. York) beginning at 12:00 where we will provide light refreshments as well as a briefing to the crawl participants on any necessary details. The OFFICIAL START TIME will be 1:00pm. This will allow participants to navigate the city during daylight hours and will allow the bars to better accept the bar crawl participants during non-peak hours so as not to overwhelm. END TIME: We are proposing that there be no "official" end time other than the end of the hours of business at each establishment, however the ELKS Club will be hosting a late gathering at 6:30pm at The ELKS Lodge for those of you who would like to enjoy coffee and light refreshments. There may be a few random prize giveaways 😊

SPECIALS: We are not “requiring” that the bars offer a special, however most have stated that they will be offering a special PRICE on certain drinks, and/or will have a “SPECIALTY DRINK” for the Crawlers (You MUST be wearing the official Bar Crawl shirt to receive any specials). A few have said they may also offer a special price on certain food items. And a few have even stated that they may not offer a special price, but instead they would donate a percentage from the drinks purchased by the Crawlers back to the scholarship fund. T-SHIRTS: There will be an official T-shirt for this Bar Crawl and only those wearing the shirt shall be eligible for any specials being offered.

OFFICIAL T-SHIRTS CAN BE PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM SUSQUEHANNA APPARREL ON THE FOLLOWING LINK BETWEEN FEBRUARY 10th – APRIL 5th: https://susapparel.tuosystems.com/stores/susapparel-barcrawl20

You will pay for your shirt when you order it, however the shirts will be available to pick up on the day of the crawl at the ELKS Lodge #213 (223 N. George St. York) beginning at 12:00pm. The FRONT of the shirt will have an image representing Fuel Their Fire Scholarship Bar Crawl. The BACK of the shirt will have a design that includes a list of the names of all the participating establishments. You can see the design when you visit the link for Susquehanna Apparel. 100% OF PROCEEDS FROM THE T-SHIRT SALES WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE FUEL THEIR FIRE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. *** If you are unable to make the crawl, your shirt will be available to pick up by stopping by the Elks Club anytime during its normal operating days/hours.

All Crawlers are reminded to please be responsible as they consume alcohol and are instructed to treat each establishment with proper respect. WE HAVE ENCOURAGED ESTABLISHMENT STAFF TO DENY SERVING ANY CRAWLER THEY DEEM TO BE TOO INTOXICATED. WE HAVE ALSO ENCOURAGED THEM TO REMOVE ANY CRAWLER WHO IS NOT RESPECTING THEIR ESTABLISHMENTS RULES AND ITS STAFF. We remind all Crawlers that the name of the cause …. as well as the names of the participating establishments are printed on the shirt and they deserve the respect of appropriate behavior.
