Acquired Training Continues!

Training continues on our acquired structures on Eisenhower Drive. This evening crews moved over to the old pizza hut building and went over vertical ventilation on peaked type roofs. Acquired Structure Training Continues!

Wednesday evening training took us inside the acquired structure. Tonight members from “A” Shift did forcible entry using the rotary disk saw. Crews trained on cutting latches and hinges on metal framed doors found on commercial type structures.

Acquired Structure Training!

Hanover and Penn Township firefighters continue to training on our acquired structure on Eisenhower Driver. This evening members from “A” shift went over vertical ventilation on metal deck roof found on commercial structures. Our members are having a great training opportunity on this building to hone our skill on a building of this type!

Bunk Room Face Lift

Today members of “A” shift started the face lift for our bunk room. Painting the walls were the first step with new flooring coming soon!

Equipment Servicing

After last night commercial structure fire, crews are returning equipment back to in-service status. Here Firefighter Sponseller is cleaning multiple sections of 3″ hose that will be hanged to dry. Once dry, the hose will be rolled and placed into storage.  

Apio Facility Tour!

Today members went on a facility tour in our local. Crews visited Apio, Inc. on Industrial Drive where we were requested to walk through their new addition which will more the triple their facility. MVA In Front Of Station 46

  Shortly after 1600 hours IAFF 2045 members working at the Wirt Park Station heard a vehicle accident in front of the station. We investigated and found a 2 car crash with 1 vehicle into a pole and the other into a home. Crews investigated and found 1 injury and no entrapment. Once the patient …

One Reported Trapped

Single vehicle accident with reported entrapment at the intersections of Eichelberger Street and Eisenhower Drive. Penn Township Mobile Intensive Care Unit arrived first and reported single occupant self extricated with serious damage to the vehicle. Engines 46-3 and 46-1 arrived, controlled hazards and cleaned up the debris from the accident.
