Early Morning Carlsile Street Fire

_web1Captain Clousher (46-B) directs operations at a working fire at 972 Carlisle Street early Wednesday morning. Stations 46 & 49 were alerted at 02:11 hours for a house fire with people trapped. Truck 46 arrived to smoke showing to the rear of the two story occupied duplex, captain 46-B requested the working fire assignment immediately. Quick work by the crew of Truck 46 in locating and assisting six residents including five children to safety from apartment 972 1/2. The crew from Engines 46-3 and Engine 49-1 advanced hand lines to the second floor finding a small fire in the wall of the rear bedroom and extending. Truck 46’s crew went to the roof but didn’t need to make a cut, fire was under control by that time. Initial investigation indicates point of origin to be back wall near a electrical outlet. Chief 49 had command.
