Late this morning, Fire Station 49 was visited by a mother duck and her eight ducklings. They safely traversed the parking lot enroute to the nest without falling into the storm drain. Captain 46A (Spickler) was retained on stand-by in the event a duck rescue was needed.

This morning, Fire Station 49 staff hosted a tour for a Mens’ group from Homewood Living Community which is located in Penn Township. YWCA Summer Camp Tour
YWCA summer camp children visited the Wirt Park Station today. Crews from “C” shift gave the children a tour of the fire station and equipment.
