Our members spent 3 days collecting money in the Hanover Area in 2019. We presented the check to representatives of the Muscular Dystrophy Association at our January meeting. What an accomplishment. We can’t say thank you enough to everyone in this great community for their donations!

In only 2 days, Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics collected over $15,000 from our community. The ”Fill the Boot” campaign supports children with Muscular Dystrophy. The third and final collection date is scheduled for August 17, 2019.
Collections will be located at Eisenhower Dr. shopping center entrances near Red Lobster and Home Depot, and the Grandview shopping center on Baltimore St. near McDonald’s and Rutters. 9am-2pm

Please Come Help Us Meet Our Goal. We Raised $18,000 Last Year and Would Like To Beat That This Year. We Will Be On Eisenhower Drive and At The Grandview Plaza on Baltimore Street. Our Members Are Good People, Doing This for People Who Are Fighting This Terrible Disease. You Will See Our Fire Trucks On Scene. So Bring The Kids and Look At The Trucks. But, Remember Our Staff Is Able To Respond From Our Locations.
We Also Want To Thank The Borough of Hanover Council and Penn Township Commissioners, Along With Our Chief Anthony Clousher For Supporting This Effort.
Firefighters from both Penn Township and Hanover Fire Departments, career and volunteer participated in the annual Fill The Boot Drive for MDA today. Equipment and firefighters were staged at both ends of Hanover at the shopping center on Baltimore Pike as well as on Eisenhower Drive collecting money from the very generous donators passing by our apparatus and members. The MDA boot drive is an annual fundraiser where IAFF Local 2045 donates to each year.
Last Night at Our Monthly Union Meeting. We Gave MDA $18,300.00 For Our Yearly “Fill the Boot” Drive This Year. As President of This Organization. I’m Very Proud of Everyone That Gave Their Time to Help Us Achieve a Goal Higher Than We Set. This Put Us at a All Time High! So Proud of our Members!
