Today, Alumni IAFF 2045 Brother and RETIRED FF, Jeffry Parks supported York Local 627 brothers at the 33rd IAFF Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

MDA Collection – August 17, 2019

Over $15,000 raised during boot drives

In only 2 days, Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics collected over $15,000 from our community. The ”Fill the Boot” campaign supports children with Muscular Dystrophy. The third and final collection date is scheduled for August 17, 2019.

Collections will be located at Eisenhower Dr. shopping center entrances near Red Lobster and Home Depot, and the Grandview shopping center on Baltimore St. near McDonald’s and Rutters. 9am-2pm

B SHIFT RUNS VEHICLE INTO STRUCTURE AT GIANT

TODAY B SHIFT WAS ALERTED FOR A VEHICLE INTO A STRUCTURE AT THE GIANT GROCERY STORE ON EISENHOWER DRIVE. ENGINE 79-3 AND EMS RESPONDED. ENGINE CREW ARRIVED TO FIND A VEHICLE THAT POPPED THE CURB, AND HIT A SUPPORT PILLAR. DRIVER WAS UNINJURED, BUT THE PILLAR WAS DAMAGED. THE AREA WAS CORDONED OFF, AND RIGHT ENTRANCE OF THE STORE WAS CLOSED. CREWS CLEARED THE CALL, AFTER VEHICLE WAS TOWED.

LOCAL 2045 SMOKE In The GROVE RESULTS

ON FRIDAY JULY 26th MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY, SMOKED 50 POUNDS OF CHICKEN WINGS and 5 RACKS OF RIBS. THROUGHOUT THE DAY PREPWORK AND COOKING WAS COMPLETED. LOCAL 2045 HAD ALL FOOD TURNED INTO THE JUDGES, THEN IT WAS UP TO THE PEOPLE AND THE KCBS JUDGES.
