    Hanover Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Clousher stands in front of 206 East Middle Street this afternoon after a fire broke out to the rear of the vacant single family two story dwelling. The fire extended from the outside into the interior, a quick knock by Hanover & Penn Twp. firefighters prevented it from spreading.     Firefighters Wysocki and McDermitt installing a CO detector in ahome earlier   today. It is so nice to be thanked for what we do, even though it is our job, knowing our residents are safe and appreciative of the services we provide makes it worth the sacrifices of working on holidays and being away from our families.

    Borough Crash 

    Engine 46-1, Deputy Fire Chief 46, EMS 49 and fire police from both  Hanover and Penn Township responded to a two car accident at North Franklin and Chestnut Streets this morning. EMS transported open patient to Hanover Hospital. Hanover Borough Police investigated.

    All has been quiet in the Hanover area this evening, and that means all of our residents are safe and preparing for Christmas.     Hanover Fire Department’s B Shift had an in house training session this morning with both the fire chief and deputy fire chief on International Fire Codes inspections we will soon be implementing in the Borough of Hanover.

    Working Fire On Broadway

    Just after 10:30 Sunday morning the Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments responded for the second reported structure fire in just over a hour in the 500 block of Broadway in Hanover Borough. Both departments having been in a training at the “south park” station (Station 49) all arrived together with black smoke visible on side Alpha of a two story brick structure.     Several IAFF Local 2045 members as wellas volunteers  from both Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments enjoyed some fellowship Saturday night in support of fellow Littlestown firefighter  Raymond Boyd (center) whose family lost thier home and belongings to fire several months ago. A wing feast was hosted  to support the family by his department. 

  • Stolen Truck Hits House

    Stolen Truck Hits House

    Friday night at 2233hrs, engine 49-2 and Amb 49-3 were dispatched to Lee St in area of McKinley Ave, Hanover Borough box 46-06, for a vehicle into a structure with no injuries. Additional info was given as an truck into a house and reported to be stolen. Units arrived on scene with PD to stage while police surrounded vehicle to check for driver. No occupants were found and no injuries were reported by anyone in residence. Eng 49-2 remained on scene to provide lighting for PD. Minor damage to vehicle and house. Reported that truck was sitting outside at high street facility at maintenance running when it was stolen.
