Burnt Chicken Gets FD Response

Just as lunch was ready Friday afternoon, after a busy morning, Box 46-05 was dispatched for the FIRE ALARM at 201 Filbert Street in Hanover Borough. Engine and Truck 46 arrived to find nothing visible from the exterior of a one story single family structure. Captain Spickler, (working over), investigated and found a elderly female resident saying she burnt her chicken. A like smelly smoke condition was throughout. Positive Pressure Ventilation was used and the box was placed in service within fifteen minutes.
