Vehicle Accident Takes Out Utility Pole On Foggy Morning
During this morning’s foggy commute, a vehicle accident occurred on Moulstown Road in the area of Youngs Road in Penn Township. Penn Township EMS units handled patient care while Engine 46-1 out of Hanover and Engine 49-2 from the Clearview Station handled fluid and traffic control. Car 49 (Brown) was in the area and added on to the call. A reminder goes out to the motoring public to reduce travel speeds, allow increased following distances, and to ensure the vehicle’s lights are illuminated when driving in foggy conditions.

Stolen Truck Hits House
Friday night at 2233hrs, engine 49-2 and Amb 49-3 were dispatched to Lee St in area of McKinley Ave, Hanover Borough box 46-06, for a vehicle into a structure with no injuries. Additional info was given as an truck into a house and reported to be stolen. Units arrived on scene with PD to stage while police surrounded vehicle to check for driver. No occupants were found and no injuries were reported by anyone in residence. Eng 49-2 remained on scene to provide lighting for PD. Minor damage to vehicle and house. Reported that truck was sitting outside at high street facility at maintenance running when it was stolen.

Cars Collide On Wilson
Hanover & Penn Township Fire Departments responded Saturday evening for a two car crash with rollover and reported entrapment on Wilson Avenue in front of ESAB. The report of entrapment proved negative and all minor injuries are reported.

Broadway Crash With Confinement
Firefighters and EMS dispatched and responded Saturday evening around 19:00 hours for a vehicle crash with confinement on Broadway near Keagy Avenue in Hanover Borough. Penn Township EMS Chief Smith arrived first and requested a door pop and bam cut on one of the cars. Engine 49-2 firefighter Wysocki used the battery operated and hydraulic rescue tools to free the confined victim. Minor fluids and glass debris on the roadway was cleared. Engine 46-1 left to handle a medical emergency assist at a local restaurant in Penn Township.

Car Crashes Into Structure

Debris removal on W. Granger St.
Shortly after noon, Engine 49-1, Utility 49, and Ambulance 49-3 handled an unknown injury motor vehicle accident on W. Granger St., just west of the Beck Mill Rd. intersection. E49-1 handled fluid control and debris removal while A49-3 evaluated the patient for possible injury. Units cleared a brief time later.
