This year “A” shift spent all day Monday and Wednesday testing our fire hose to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard. This is done each and every year to every piece of hose to make sure when we are dragging it into a burning building, it does not fail! Over 15,000 feet of hose was tested with a few sections failing during the pressure testing. When a hose fails the test it is removed from service and discarded.
