  • Working Fire W. Middle Street

    At 1330 hours Station 46 was dispatched to this location for a reported structural fire. Captain 46B just cleared an AFA with E49-2 and was 3 blocks away when he requested a working fire assignment. On arrival, a working fire was found on the second floor exterior porch. It was extending into the second floor apartment and was impinging on the house on the “D” side. E49-2 crew deployed a 2” attack line to the exterior fire and advanced into the apartment. Truck 49 crew searched the other second floor apartment which was found to be vacant. E46-1 crew provided a second 2” attack line to cover the truck crew and assisted the outside Truck team with laddering. The cause of the fire was from a discarded cigarette and is accidental.

    Bshift ShovelingB-shifters Captain Clousher, Firefighters McKay and McDermitt along with a employee from the car dealership was captured clearing snow away from the fire hydrants in Hanover Borough along Carlisle Street on Valentines Day by a passing 911 Photography photographer. the Hanover area had over 12 inches of snow fall the day before.

  • Crash on Eichelberger

    eichelberger_dart_crashSunday morning at 11:30 hours, York County Box 46-06 was alerted for the two car accident at the intersection of Eichelberger Street and Dart Drive in Hanover Borough.
    Engine 46-3 arrived first to confirm dispatch with the roadway and intersection blocked. Engine 46-1 and Rescue 46 assisted with debris removal.
