A shift ran a house fire in a 52 box late Monday morning. Truck 49 and Engine 46-1 were the first arriving units on the scene. Crews split as entrapment was reported when they arrived on scene. Crews pulled a dog from the house that survived. After the house cleared suppression efforts were continued, crews had the bulk of the fire knocked in about 10 minutes. Extensive overhaul was required.

House Fire On Grandview Road
Early Wednesday morning, at 02:06 hours, Box 49-03 was struck for the reported residential fire at 2469 Grandview Road. Engine 49-1 arrived to heavy fire conditions in the car port of a single family one story rancher. E-49-1and E49-2 stretched several hand lines containing the bulk of the fire to the car port. Extensive heart and smoke damage noted in the residence. Truck 46’s crew did exterior ventilation and overhaul. The box was held to the working fire assignment. -
New York Wire Working Fire
Box 083 sounded at 0126 hours Monday morning for a automatic alarm in Hanover Borough for New York Wire, Hanover and Penn Township A Shift firefighters arrived to normal conditions from the exterior. While investigating inside, nothing was evident, firefighters returned outside to find heavy smoke pushing from the roof. After going back inside, fire was discovered on divisions 1,2, and 3 of the drying facility. Three hand lines were stretched while truck 49′s crew opened up the roof. Working Fire W. Middle Street

At 1330 hours Station 46 was dispatched to this location for a reported structural fire. Captain 46B just cleared an AFA with E49-2 and was 3 blocks away when he requested a working fire assignment. On arrival, a working fire was found on the second floor exterior porch. It was extending into the second floor apartment and was impinging on the house on the “D” side. E49-2 crew deployed a 2” attack line to the exterior fire and advanced into the apartment. Truck 49 crew searched the other second floor apartment which was found to be vacant. E46-1 crew provided a second 2” attack line to cover the truck crew and assisted the outside Truck team with laddering. The cause of the fire was from a discarded cigarette and is accidental.

Smoke In The House
Tuesday evening Box 46-01 was struck for the structure fire, with smoke reported to be in the basement in a house on Clearview Road, cross street of Deguy. First in units found normal conditions on the exterior, investigated to find a light haze in the basement. The box was held to Engine 46-1, Engine 49-2, Truck 46 and Salvage 46. -

Tuesday evening, Adams County box 29 was struck for furnace fire, which eventually went three alarms in a two story, multi-family duplex on North Street.

A Shift takes Truck 49 and Engine 46-1 to a fully involved garage fire in Lineboro Box 7-29 Sunday afternoon. Engine 46-1 laid about 1000 feet of five inch supply line while Truck 49’s crew opened up.
