    Early this afternoon, Gamewell Box 18 was struck bringing first-alarm units (E49-1, E49-2, TRK 46, and EMS) to R. H. Sheppard on Philadelphia St. in Hanover Borough. Crews arrived to find a dust collector baghouse next to a machine on fire. Plant crews contained a majority of the fire with in-house dry chemical extinguishers. A 300′ pre-connect was advanced to knock down the remaining fire. Truck 46 checked the roof for fire extension with none being found. Incident Commander was Chief 49 (Cromer). No civilian or fire service injuries were incurred.

    After last night commercial structure fire, crews are returning equipment back to in-service status. Here Firefighter Sponseller is cleaning multiple sections of 3″ hose that will be hanged to dry. Once dry, the hose will be rolled and placed into storage.

    Working Fire In Penn Twp. 

    York County box 49-03 was alerted at 17:53 hours for a reported structure fire at 60 Bragg Street in Penn Township. Assistant Chief 49 requested a working fire assignment for heavy fire in the garage of a single family dwelling. Hanover and Penn Township firefighters made quick work of the fire.     Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments responded to York County Box 53-13 in West Manheim Township for a reported wood stove on fire in a structure. A working fire was sounded.     Hanover Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Clousher stands in front of 206 East Middle Street this afternoon after a fire broke out to the rear of the vacant single family two story dwelling. The fire extended from the outside into the interior, a quick knock by Hanover & Penn Twp. firefighters prevented it from spreading.     Working Fire On Broadway

    Just after 10:30 Sunday morning the Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments responded for the second reported structure fire in just over a hour in the 500 block of Broadway in Hanover Borough. Both departments having been in a training at the “south park” station (Station 49) all arrived together with black smoke visible on side Alpha of a two story brick structure.     Engine and Utility 46 responded for a pole fire in the 200 block of Eagle Avenue in Hanover Borough Saturday afternoon. Fire department personnel were on scene for over two hours while Med Ed worked on correcting the extensive damage to the pole and wires.
