Our usual Friday night box alarm for New York Wire Company came in at 16:54 hours. Engine 46-1 arrived on location and reported “smoke showing from the north tower again”. The crews of Engine 46-1 and Truck 49 found a small fire in the powder coating tower. A Dry chemical extinguisher was used by the engine company to extinguish the small fire. The assignment was held to the initial dispatch companies.

An early morning house fire in the 200 block of East Middle Street brought Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments to a house fire believed to be caused by a lightening strike with passing storms in the area overnight.
