    At 1330 hours Station 46 was dispatched to this location for a reported structural fire. Captain 46B just cleared an AFA with E49-2 and was 3 blocks away when he requested a working fire assignment. On arrival, a working fire was found on the second floor exterior porch. It was extending into the second floor apartment and was impinging on the house on the “D” side. E49-2 crew deployed a 2” attack line to the exterior fire and advanced into the apartment. Truck 49 crew searched the other second floor apartment which was found to be vacant. E46-1 crew provided a second 2” attack line to cover the truck crew and assisted the outside Truck team with laddering. The cause of the fire was from a discarded cigarette and is accidental.

  • Working Fire In Penn Twp.

    S.HighSt.At 2044 hrs units from Penn Township and Hanover Fire Departments (C-Shift) were dispatched to the residence next to 505 South High St in Penn Township for a residential structure fire. Deputy Chief 49 arrived on location with fire showing through the roof of the single wide mobile home at 511 South High St. and advised Y.C.D.E.S.of a working fire. Chief 49 arrived shortly after and assumed command. Truck 49 and Rescue 49 arrived and stretched a 1 3/4 hand line to the front door. Captain 49C made the attack on the fire while the rest of the crews searched for victims and opened up the structure. E46-1 dropped a supply line and laid in 300′ of 5″ to T49. The crew of E46-1 stretched a back-up line and controlled utilities. Interior crews knocked the fire down quickly and all searches proved negative.

    HFD_ClearviewRdTuesday evening Box 46-01 was struck for the structure fire, with smoke reported to be in the basement in a house on Clearview Road, cross street of Deguy. First in units found normal conditions on the exterior, investigated to find a light haze in the basement. The box was held to Engine 46-1, Engine 49-2, Truck 46 and Salvage 46.
