Firefighter McDermitt hands off to EMS personnel one of several dogs rescued today at a house fire on Highland Avenue. Two goats were also removed from the two story home. A great effort by the brothers in saving several family pets.

East Walnut Street Fire
Less than 12 hours after becoming The Greater Hanover Area Fire Rescue, firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at East Walnut and Fulton Streets in Hanover Borough. Heavy fire conditions on arrival took the fire to three alarms.

Smoke In the House
York County Box 46-05 was struck at 14:01 hours Thursday for a structure fire at 304 Centennial Avenue in Hanover Borough. Chief 79 and Hanover PD arrived on scene with a very light smoke condition in the residence. Engine 46-1 used an exhaust fan to clear the house of the smoke from burnt popcorn and small debris fire in the kitchen.

Mutual Aid Fire In New Oxford
Captain Kemmerly and firefighter Garibay work on opening the roof of a rancher style home in New Oxford where Hanover Engine 46-1 assisted on a kitchen fire as RIT.

B-Shift Donates Bicycles
Monday evening, firefighters from the Hanover Fire Department, career and volunteer delivered new bicycles to two young girls who lost theirs in a small shed fire early Saturday morning in Hanover Borough. The bicycles were purchased at Walmart by the B-Shift firefighters and donated to the girls.

Ducklings Saved
Ten baby Ducklings were rescued by our Station 3’s crew today. All babies were reunited with their momma. Firefighters McDermitt, Wasocki, Garibay and Angel made momma ducks day!
Thanks to the citizen that dropped off some donuts and coffee, It was greatly appreciated.

Hanover and Penn Township were Dispatched to Assist United Hook and Ladder #33 with a Working Fire. Good Job by All Involved.
